Privacy policy

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. These tools record your approximate location, browser, device type, the pages you view, and the page that referred you. Google Analytics sets cookies; you can block them with your browser or an extension without affecting the site. We do not run advertising networks or tracking pixels from third parties.

When you follow a link marked sponsored, your browser first visits our /go/address, which records the partner, the path of the page you came from, and your browser’s user-agent string in our server logs, then sends you on. We do not record your IP address in that log or attach it to any identity. The partner’s own privacy policy governs what happens after you arrive there; some partner links include a code that tells the partner the referral came from us.

The claim form asks for the clinic, a contact name, a work email, a phone number, and the details you want shown. That submission is delivered to us as a private issue in our source-code repository on GitHub and as a notification in our team chat, so that it cannot be lost. The public listing shows only what you asked us to show. We use the contact details to verify the claim and to reach you about the listing, and for nothing else.

If you email us, we keep the correspondence as long as needed to handle it. If we offer a research newsletter, subscribing is a separate, explicit step and every issue contains an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above (Google, Vercel, GitHub, Slack, and, if we email you, Resend) as needed to run the site. Analytics data is kept on those providers’ default retention schedules; claim submissions are kept while the listing is live.
